やっとエンジン部品が到着 Ｏ／Ｈ開始

昨年１１月９日に、スウェーデンの「cvi」とアメリカの「ipd」に発注した「・１２２」ＡＭＡＺＯＮエンジンオーバーホール用の部品が、やっと全て到着しました。「cvi」は、いつも通り、キチンと１０日間ほどで部品が届いたのですが、「ipd」は、例によってノラリクラリ、、、。とくに「Ｃカムシャフト」のキットを「ipd」にオーダーしたのですが、Webshopでは「在庫あり」となっていたにもかかわらず、何回もメールで確認しても「入庫待ち！！」との返事で、やっと２ヶ月も経って「Ｃカムシャフトキット」（３４８．６１US＄）と”スチール製”（ベークライト製には懲りたので、、）タイミング・カム・ギアセット（３００US＄）を含む部品が届きました。ということで、昨日、「cvi」と「ipd」から届いた部品を工場へ持ち込みました。早々に、梱包を開けて、部品内容を”検品”しました。間違いなく部品は揃っていましたが、嬉しかったのは、「cvi」に発注した「ピストンとリング」（４個で４３４．２８US＄）のセット。なんと「MAHLE」製のピストンセットです。このドイツの誇る「MAHLE」は、それこそＦ１を頂点にレース用ピストンでは名門中の名門の老舗です。きちっとリングも組み込んであり、いかにも「任せておけ」と主張しています。「・１２２」ＡＭＡＺＯＮに組み込まれていたピストンと並べて比べると「MAHLE」製は、明らかに肉厚なのですが、軽量です。さらに、オイル抜けの構造も凝っていてます。「ipd」から来た「Ｃカムシャフト」は、made in USAの刻印があり、一抹の不安もあるのですが、きっと、「MAHLE」のピストンが、その不安をも補ってくれくれそうな
”オーラ”を発していました。来週から、いよいよエンジンのオーバーホールが始まります。エンジン屋さんは、２週間くらいで仕上がる、、、とは言ってくれているのですが、私自身もオーバーホールで月末に入院を余儀なくされているので、退院後の来月はじめには、現在Ｎさんからお借りしているスペアエンジンとの換装を済ませて「慣らし」運転に入ろうと思っています。
Last year on 9th of Nov, I ordered a bunch of parts from Sweden's CVI and US IPD for my .122 Amazon. CVI delivered just within 10 days and proved to be as reliable as always, but for IPD, they just kept delaying. I ordered a C camshaft kit on the net which showed status as in stock but each time I sent an email to inquire, they would come back and say they are waiting for the parts to arrive. After a 2 month wait, the C camshaft kit ($348.61) and timing cam gear made of steel ($300) arrived. So, I brought these parts over to the repair shop and started to unpack all the parts. All the parts that I ordered were there. The one thing that made me happy was that the piston ring (4 for $434.28) that came from CVI turned out to be made by Mahle. This is made in Germany and is also used in the formula 1 races. When I compared the Mahle piston rings to those that had come off my .122 Amazon, you could see that the Mahle had more volume, but was lighter. The method that the oil drains out was also unique. The work to overhaul the engine will start from next week. It will take about 2 weeks to complete. Meanwhile, I have to also go into the hospital for an "overhaul". After I come out of the hospital next week, I look forward to exchanging the engine I am borrowing from Mr. N to the overhauled version and taking it out for a spin.
