”春一番”シーズン開幕 SplendoreTOKYO

3月25日（日）東京・お台場を起点に行われた「SplendoreTOKYO」を応援に行ってきました。
三寒四温で鬱陶しい雨空が続いていましたが、この日は朝から気持ちよく晴れあがり、まさに、クラシックカーラリー日和！シーズン開幕にふさわしいイベントでした。実は、11月に行われる史上「日本最長ラリー」となる12日間、6000kmの「SplendoreJAPAN」に出場を決意していることから、足慣らしも兼ねて”春一番”のこのラリーにも出場しようかな、、、。とは思っていたのですが、なかなか春の気配が感じられず、雨模様の日が続いていたので、パスを決め込み、応援に行ったというわけです。午前8時にお台場の「船の科学館」駐車場をスタートしたクラシックカーは約90台。房総半島のマザー牧場を経由し、昼食を「富浦ロイヤルホテル」で摂って、午後2時過ぎにはお台場の「ホテル・トラスティ」にゴールするという１dayイベントです。参加車（写真順）には、クラシックカーラリーの常連、常勝のベテランＨさんのMG-TD（1952年）、堺正章さんの愛車MASERATI A6 GCS（1948年）、そして、珍しいERMINI（1948年）やAUTO UNION DKW（1959年）などに交じり、私の所属するTACC（東京有明ｶｰクラブ）からもIさんのSTANGUELLI 1100S（1947年）とＭさん／Ｎさん組 VOLVO P1800S（1965年）も参加していました。”線踏み”もスタートの1か所だけ、あとはタイムラリーということで、のんびりとした春のツーリングだった
ようで、VOLVO P1800SのＭ／Ｎさん組も「マザー牧場にソフトクリーム食べに行ってきたのよ！！」と勝ち負け抜きの笑顔一杯で、とても楽しそうでした。私も「・１２２」ＡＭＡＺＯＮで出場すれば良かったな、、、とちょっぴり残念なような、悔しいような。でも、来月4月21日（土）22日（日）の両日には「ＡＭＡＺＯＮ春のツーリング」です。14台のＡＭＡＺＯＮを連ねての箱根・芦ノ湖ツーリングを心待ちにすることにします。いよいよ春のクラシックカーシーズンが開幕ですね。
さあ、地下駐車場で冬眠している「・１２２」ＡＭＡＺＯＮを起こさなければ、、、。
On March 25th (Sun) I went to Odaiba to welcome back the classic rally "Splendore Tokyo". The weather had been going back and forth between cold & warm with lots of rain, but from this morning, the skies opened up to clear and beautiful sunshine, fit for the first classic rally of the year. I also considered entering, but with the weather being rather grey, had decided against it. The rally started off from the Maritime Museum at 8am with 90 cars, went to Mother Farm on the Boso peninsula onto Tomiura Royal hotel for lunch and coming back to Hotel Trusty at Odaiba at 2pm. The regulars were there; MG-TD（1952),MASERATI A6 GCS（1948), in addition to a rare ERMINI (1948), Auto Union DKW (1959). My friends from TACC were there also : STANGUELLI 1100S（1947) and the Volvo P1800S (1965). There was only one time control and the rest was a pleasant spring drive. Everyone looked like they enjoyed themselves. I was a bit envious. That being said, I am off to an Amazon touring on the 21st & 22nd of April with 14 other Amazons out to Hakone & Ashinoko. So, here's to the classic car season.
