クラシックカーフェスタin神宮外苑

11月27日（土）「クラシックカーフェスタin神宮外苑」に「・１２２」ＡＭＡＺＯＮと共に参加しました。
トヨタ博物館が主催するこのイベントには、昨年に続き、２回目の参加です。ちょうど、「神宮外苑 いちょう祭り」が行われていて、いちょう並木が、見事に黄色一色に染まる中をクラシックカーでパレードするこのイベントは、とても素晴らしく、自宅からも、ほんの１０分の距離が会場なので、毎年楽しみにしています。今年も、国内外のクラシックカーが１００台参加しました。「いちょう祭り」に集まった大勢の観衆は、無料で往年の名車やクラシックカーを間近に楽しみ、さらには、神宮外苑絵画館から、青山通り、赤坂、皇居、銀座四丁目、、、、と周回する12.5Kmのパレードも行われるので沿道では、多くのファンがカメラを向け、手を振って迎えてくれます。今年も、Ｓ大先輩ご夫婦と一緒に、パレードを楽しみ、神宮絵画館前では、クラシックカーファンと楽しい時間を過ごしました。トヨタ博物館が主催ということで、集まったクラシックカーは、セダンが多く、「・１２２」ＡＭＡＺＯＮの隣は、昨年同様に、北欧メーカーのもう一社、SAAB99が並び、その隣にはフランスのﾌｧｾﾙﾍﾞﾊﾞｶﾞとｼﾄﾛｴﾝ2CVが並ぶ、、、という具合です。また、特別展示の1902年製「ベイカー・エレクトリック（電気自動車）」や1937年製「ビュイック（木炭自動車）」などのでも走行も見学できて、有意義な一日でした。11月は、「Rally Nippon」、「AMAZON紅葉ツーリング」、そして、「クラシックカーフェスタin神宮外苑」と、ほぼ毎週ＡＭＡＺＯＮと共にイベント三昧でしたが、今シーズンも、来週１２月５日（日）のＴＡＣＣミーティングに出席するのみとなりました。比較的天気にも恵まれた、今シーズンの締めくくりでした。年末年始は、「・１２２」ＡＭＡＺＯＮは冬眠し、春の「ＡＭＡＺＯＮツーリング」まで、しばしの休息です。
On 27th of Nov. I went to joint the Classic Car Festa at Jingu Gaien with my .122 Amazon. This event is organized by Toyota Museum and is my 2nd year to enter. This event is held at the same time as the Autumn poplar tree festival and there is a wonderful parade drive through this autumn scenary and it is only about 10min drive from where I live, so I look forward to it. This year, about 100 cars lined up and a multitude of people came to see this free of charge event. The parade drive wound its way around Aoyama, Akasaka, the imperial palace, Ginza and back to Jingu over a distance of 12.5km. Lots of people were line up along the roads with camera ready, hands waving. I had invited Mr. S to ride along. As the event was organized by Toyota Museum, there were plenty of sedans. Another Nordic car - SAAB99 stood next to my Amazon and next to that, a Facelvega along with a Citroen 2CV. As a special display, there was a Baker Electric car from 1902 and a 1937 coal driven Buick. Since the beginning of November, I have participated in consecutive events every weekend with my Amazon. The last event of this year will be a TACC meeting held on 5th December. After that, I plan to let my Amazon hibernate for the upcoming Spring.
